Alameda, Sr., Vice Governor, all of this Province dated February 22, 2017 submitting the proposal of the Provincial Health Office for the upgrading of Three (3) vacant positions of Sanitation Inspectors to the following positions viz; Two (2) Public Health Nurse I – Salary Grade 12 and One (1) Public Health Nurse III – Salary Grade 19. He also strongly recommended that the request of the PHO for the said positions be favorably considered and that an appropriate Ordinance be enacted for the purpose.

Tajonera, Secretary to the Sangguniang Bayan of the Municipality of Cagwait, addressed to Ms. Monalisa Cañedo-Su, Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, both this Province dated February 22, 2017 informing this Body that the LGU of Cagwait has submitted their FY 2017 General Fund and Municipal Economic Enterprise Fund Annual Budget covered under Appropriation Ordinance No. 29-16 and Appropriation Ordinance No. 30-16 both dated November 9, 2016 and as per stamped copy of the received transmittal letter last November 17, 2016. The ninety (90) days period has already lapsed last February 16, 2017 and they were not able to receive any action from the August Body, hence, they assumed that their budget has been reviewed and declared operative and thus implemented it in full force pursuant to Section 327, Article 1, Chapter 3 of the Local Government Code of 1991.

Bantugan, MPA, District Engineer, Surigao del Sur I District Engineering Office, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Tandag City addressed to the Provincial Board Members of this Province dated March 2, 2017 furnishing this Body the Status Report of Project being Implemented by the DPWH-SDS 1st District Engineering Office, Tandag City for the month of February 2017 for reference and guidance.
2. Letter of Atty. Daniel T. Salomon, Chief of Staff, Office of the Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, Pasay City dated February 2, 2017 addressed to Ms. Monalisa Cañedo-Su, Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, this Province, confirming receipt of a copy of Resolution No. 308-16 of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Surigao del Sur, requesting the Philippine Statistic Authority, Central Office, Manila to exempt the beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) from paying fees in obtaining birth certificates, marriage certificates, marriage applications and certificates of no marriage from the said agency.
3. Notice from Misael Domingo C. Battung III, Deputy Division Clerk of Court for and in behalf of the Division Clerk of Court, Third Division, Supreme Court, Manila that the Supreme Court, Third Division issued a Resolution dated January 16, 2017, which reads as follows: “G.R. Nos. 214957-58 (PICOP Resources, Inc. and New Paper Industries Corporation vs. Land Bank of the Philippines). - The Court NOTES the letter dated September 21, 2016 of Lorenzo D. Cañon of P1-A Manggahong District, Mangagoy, Bislig City, 8311 Surigao del Sur, addressed to Chief Justice Maria Lourdes P. A. Sereno, stating that the (early) resolution of this case would give him and his co-workers relief because they previously won a labor case against PICOP Resources, Inc. (PRI) in G.R. No. 160828, entitled “Tañeca, et al. vs. PRI” which was decided on August 9, 2010.”
4. Review letter dated February 27, 2017 from Mr. Ricky L. Sanchez, OIC-Regional Director, Department of Budget and Management, Regional Office XIII (CARAGA), Butuan City addressed to the Honorable Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, thru Honorable Vicente T. Pimentel, Jr., Provincial Governor, this Province informing that FY 2017 Annual Budget of the Province of Surigao del Sur involving an appropriation of P1,228,552,699.00 under Appropriation Ordinance No. 18-16 dated December 5, 2016 has substantially complied with the provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, rules and regulations of the Budget Operations Manual (BOM) for Local Government Units, 2016 Edition with some observations/findings. Thus, the same has been considered operative on its stated date of effectivity, subject to the posting requirement under Section 59 of R.A No. 7160, and subject further to submission of other required documents and compliance of pertinent laws, accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
