Zuleika T. Lopez, Undersecretary, for the establishment of a credit line with the Hinatuan District Hospital as service provider, in the amount of Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php500,000.00) Only for the provision of medical assistance to eligible clients through the issuance of Letters of Guarantee by the OVP, for the Body’s information and appropriate action.

Sion, OIC – Provincial Director, Surigao del Sur Provincial Office, Deparment of the Interior and Local Government, this Province dated March 14, 2024, furnishing the Body a copy of the indorsed Memorandum to Hon. Alexander T. Pimentel, Provincial Governor, this Province, dated February 19, 2024, from RD. Maria Loisella E. Lucino, CESO IV, DILG CARAGA, regarding the participation to the Capacity Development Sessions on the Establishment of Human Rights Action Center. The latter informed the Body that the Capacity Development Sessions will be piloted in the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Tago, San Agustin, San Miguel and in the City of Tandag, all of this Province on April 23, 2024 in Tandag City (specific venue, TBA) and it is spearheaded by the Commission on Human Rights in collaboration with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF). Further, the latter also suggested to the Body for the creation of a Human Rights Committee as one of the Standing Committees in the Local Sanggunian and to pass an Ordinance or Executive Order creating a Provincial, City, Municipal and Barangay Human Rights Action Center (HRAC) as an important requisites to the above-scheduled Capacity Development Sessions by all pilot LGUs, for the Body’s information and appropriate action.
