Letter from Hon. Alexander T. Pimentel, Provincial Governor, this Province, dated August 9, 2023 addressed to the Honorable Members, Office of the Provincial Council thru Hon. Manuel O. Alameda, Sr., Vice Governor, all of this Province, requesting for the passage of a Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution authorizing the Provincial Governor to enter into and sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Agriculture (DA) represented by Mr. Domingo F. Panganiban, Senior Undersecretary, for the implementation of the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) Scale Up Modality in the province, for the Body’s information and appropriate action.

Appropriation Ordinance No. 23 dated June 27, 2023 of the Municipality of San Agustin, this Province entitled “An Ordinance Authorizing Supplemental Budget No. 02, S. 2023, Involving the Amount of P2,664,812.30 Covering the Priority Development Projects of the Local Government Unit of San Agustin and Appropriating Necessary Funds for the Purpose”.

Jagna, CESO IV, Regional Director, Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Regional Office No. XIII, Butuan City dated August 7, 2023 addressed to the Honorable Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Province of Surigao del Sur through Hon. Alexander T. Pimentel, Provincial Governor, this Province, informing the August Body on their review of Appropriation Ordinance (AO) No. 47-23 approved on July 24, 2023 of the Provincial Government covering the FY 2023 Supplemental Budget No. 3 in the amount of P1,500,000,000.00, which reveals substantial compliance with the provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991 and its Implementing Rules and Regulation (IRR). The latter informed that the above-mentioned Budget was declared operative on its stated date of effectivity, subject to the posting requirement under Section 59 of R.A. No. 7160. It was further informed that the review action does not authorized any item of appropriation that is specifically prohibited by or inconsistent with provisions of law and disbursement of appropriations therein authorized shall be subject to the availability of funds and all accounting and auditing rules and regulations, for the Body’s information.

The 57th Regular Session of the 20th Sangguniang Panlalawigan, this Province will be held on August 22, 2023 at 9:00 o’clock in the morning at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall, Legislative Building, Capitol of the South, Kahayag, Bislig City, this Province.
Further, the Committee on Boundary Settlement will conduct a Preliminary Conference to discuss matters relative to Boundary Dispute between the Municipalities of Carmen and Lanuza, Surigao del Sur on August 16, 2023 at 9:00 o’clock in the morning at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Carmen, this Province.
