Dalura, Planning Officer III, Department of Education (DepEd), Schools Division of Surigao del Sur, on the revised Report on Internet Connectivity of the schools under Schools Division of Surigao del Sur, for the Body’s information and appropriate action.

2. Letter of Mr. Froilan U. Caturla, Acting Port Manager, Philippine Port Authority, Surigao City, dated October 27, 2022 addressed to Mr. Edgar G. Perez II, J.D., Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, all of this Province, referring to Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution No. 66-22 entitled “Earnestly Requesting the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Butuan City, CARAGA Region XIII for a Profile of All Ports Under its Management and Jurisdiction Including Private Ports in the Province of Surigao del Sur”. He informed the Body that they are now on the process of updating the database of profiles of Philippine Ports under the Port Management Office of Surigao which covers the Provinces of Surigao del Norte (including Siargao Islands), Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Sur. Further, he informed the Body that they can already provide the Office for an advance soft copies of digital profiles of government ports located in the Province of Surigao del Sur. On the otherhand, the latter added that the updating of the information/data in the profiles of private ports are still on going, for the Body’s information and appropriate action.

3. Letter of Mr. Pol M. Delos Santos, CESO IV, Regional Director, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Regional Office XIII, Butuan City, dated October 25, 2022, addressed to Engr. Ruel B. Bantugan, MPA, District Engineer, Surigao del Sur I, District Engineering Office, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Tandag City, this Province, furnishing a copy of the Memorandum Re: Resolution No. 135-22, entitled “Earnestly Requesting Hon. Manuel M. Bonoan, Secretary, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Manila for Funding Assistance of the Priority Projects in CARAGA Region XIII Specifically in the Province of Surigao del Sur in the Total Amount of One Billion One Hundred Million Pesos (P 1,100B)”. The latter informed Engr. Bantugan that upon assessment of the Office, neither one of the seven (7) projects mentioned in the said Resolution has been included in the FY 2023 National Expenditure Program (NEP). He also directed to strictly evaluate the merits of the said projects based on the conditions mentioned in the aforesaid Memorandum for possible consideration in the Future Regional Budget Proposal (RBP), subject to budgetary constraints and submission of pertinent documents. Moreover, he reminded of the Memorandum dated October 10, 2022 of Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, which stated therein that the “Regional Offices and Distrct Engineering Offices should refrain from endorsing projects if they do not pertain to national road network or other infrastructure under Department’s core mandate and strategic programs and priorities”, for the Body’s information and appropriate action.

4. Letter of Mr. Marcos M. Quico, L. AGR., MPA, Provincial Agriculturist, this Province, addressed to Hon. Manuel O. Alameda, Sr., Vice Governor thru Mr. Edgar G. Perez II, J.D., Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, this Province, dated November 3, 2022, submitting the List of Agricultural Development Plans and Needs with estimated cost. Attached is the Proposed Provincial Integrated Agricultural Development and Research Center of San Miguel National Agricultural School (SNAS), Carromata, San Miguel, Surigao del Sur with the project cost amounting to P32,985.000, for the Body’s information and appropriate action.

Perez II, J.D., Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, this Province a copy of the letter from Ma. Pamela P. Quizon, OIC Executive Director, Department of Finance, Manila, addressed to Hon. Alexander T. Pimentel, Provincial Governor, Province of Surigao del Sur Re: “Invitation to the Virtual Presentation of the Local Governance Reform Project (LGRP)”. In his letter, the virtual conference is scheduled on November 8, 2022 at 2:00-4:00 in the afternoon. The latter encouraged full participation by the key officers of the LGUs, the Vice Governor, the Local Sanggunian, Treasurer and Assessor , and IT personnel and related staff, for the Body’s information and appropriate action.
